The inaugural World Amateur MatchPlay Championship to be staged at the Gary Player Country Club and Lost City Golf Course at Sun City South Africa is the first of its kind. The structure is unique and allows for a large group of golfers to participate in every day of play without being eliminated per round in the normal course of MatchPlay golf. Up to 64 teams, in 4 Groups regardless of your individual handicap, will tee off in the quest to become World Amateur MatchPlay Team and Individual Champions over 8 Trophy Divisions. Golfers will be matched against similar handicaps for each match, with no more than a 2 shot maximum difference.
